Mullingar Golf Club is located at Belvedere, Mullingar, 5km south of the town centre and just off the main N52 [Nenagh – Dundalk] route, 80km west of Dublin along the M4/N4. The course layout is the work of famous Scottish golf course designer and 5 times Open Champion James Braid [1870 – 1950]. Although some changes have been made since its creation in 1935, Mullingar is essentially as its designer intended, a championship challenge set in a mature wooded parkland that was once part of the Belvedere Estate. The course runs to 6,685 yards with a classic par 72 balance of 10 par 4’s, 4 par 5’s and 4 par 3’s. It’s routing is player friendly, returning to the club house at 3, and 9. All four par 3 ‘s are feature holes, but the 209 yard second is the signature hole, with its elevated tee and green it is considered one of the best par 3’s in Irish golf.

Tipperary Golf Club is a long-established club founded on 25 January 1896. The course is an 18‑hole parkland layout set at the rolling foothills of Slievenamuck (Sliabh Muice) with the Galtee Mountains visible behind. The club moved to its present location at Rathanny in 1939 and the course was extended to 18 holes in 1994. A refurbished clubhouse was opened in May 2001. The venue sits on the road to the Glen of Aherlow and presents a layout intended for players at a range of abilities. Visitor tee times are managed through the club’s BRS booking system. The clubhouse includes a bar and restaurant run by O’Rawe Catering; catering is available seven days a week from 10:00 with light refreshments and meals served from noon. The bar and catering service accepts bookings for Sunday lunch, private functions, corporate events and weddings for members and visitors; breakfast can be arranged by pre-booking. Ballyheigue Castle Golf Course in Kerry was opened in 1996. The nine hole golf club in Kerry is situated on mature woodland surrounding the Eighteenth Century castle in Ballyheigue. The course is situated 8 miles from Tralee Golf Club and 10 miles from Ballybunion Golf Club. The castle was built on a phased basis by the Crosbies and subsequently owned by the Leen family, Ballyheigue.

Tramore Golf Club sits in the south-east of Ireland and has a long playing history dating back to 1894. The venue is laid out as parkland and now comprises 27 holes made up of the older layouts and newer additions, with sand-based greens built to USGA standards. The club has hosted the Irish Close Championship on three occasions and stages a regular programme of member and open competitions throughout the year. Course facilities include the Old Course and the Newtown Nine, and there is a substantial short-game practice area that provides putting surfaces, bunkers and practice nets. Coaching is available through the pro shop, which stocks equipment and offers lessons; the club also provides Trackman indoor coaching and a reservable indoor practice space. For food and drink the bar is open daily and the Club House Bistro operates several days a week, serving breakfast and lunch with dinner options as the season progresses; the bistro notes it sources produce from local suppliers. Overnight visitors can book from six on-site twin rooms. Electric buggies and trolleys are available for hire and score-card and society booking information is handled through the club office.
