Dunmore East Golf Club is a clifftop, nine-hole course laid out along the shores of Dunmore East village. The course measures 2,317 metres and plays to a par of 35; it can also be played twice using alternate tee boxes to present an 18-hole challenge at par 70. A 2020 redesign by reGOLF’s Irish team (led by Jeff Lynch and Paul O’Brien) introduced two new greens, one built as an infinity-style green and another positioned close to a cliff edge, and reshaped holes to emphasise risk-and-reward shot-making amid natural valleys and ocean inlets. The club is GUI-affiliated since 1991 and welcomes golfers of varying abilities with green fee timeslots available daily and a range of membership options. Competitive member competitions take place six days a week during the summer season. Practical services include hire of golf buggies, clubs and trolleys from reception, and a resident golf professional who provides one-to-one coaching and runs junior summer camps. The setting offers panoramic sea views and easy access to the village and nearby coastal amenities, making it a straightforward option for visiting players and local members alike.

Welcome to Greenisland Golf Club, still located on its original site since 1894, this challenging nine hole members course welcomes all visitors to enjoy the mature course and sample the beautiful views from its elevated tees and greens on the side of Knockagh Hill. On a clear day it is possible to see Scotland, across County Down and beyond Belfast to the Mountains of Mourne. The Club prides itself on being a friendly, family orientated golf club. Many families have long associations with it and membership policy encourages this principle. Visitors are warmly welcomed and packages are tailored to meet the needs of each individual party, large or small.

Donaghadee welcomes players of all backgrounds and abilities as it celebrates 125 years of golf in 2024. Our Men’s, Ladies and Juvenile sections have enjoyed particular success over the years. All members have the benefit of an excellent practice academy, opened by Norman Drew in 2010. On the course and in the clubhouse, we pride ourselves on being a friendly, family, orientated golf club. Members’ visitors are also warmly welcomed. You don’t have to be a golfer to become a member. Situated on the North Down Coast, at the mouth of Belfast Lough, with stunning views across to the Copeland Islands; Donaghadee Golf Club was opened on the 28th July 1899. The original 9 Hole course was designed by Willie Fernie the famous Scottish professional who won the Open Championship in 1883 and was runner up on four other occasions. The current 18 hole par 71, which is part links part parkland opened in 1907. Here is what it would have looked like.

Spanish Point Golf Club is a traditional nine-hole links course on the Wild Atlantic Way, set beside the Atlantic with views across dunes and rolling fairways. The location exposes golfers to coastal winds and the changing conditions typical of seaside links, and the course layout reflects that terrain. The club has received local recognition in recent years, including being voted Best 9-Hole Course (2019 and 2024) and Munster Best Value & Golf Experience in 2020. Visitors are accommodated year-round with flexible tee times and competitive green fees; advance booking is advised at busy times. Rental options are available for travelling players, including quality club hire, trolley hire and electric buggy availability subject to course conditions. The Ballykisteen Championship Golf course is a superb 18 hole, 72 par, Des Smyth designed championship golf course which was opened in 1993 and was formerly the famous Ballykisteen Stud. Nestled in the heart of the Golden Vale, the clever design and suitability to all handicaps makes this golf course an ideal venue for any golf outing. The golf course is set only minutes from Limerick Junction, County Tipperary in tree-sculptured surroundings against a backdrop of the Galtee Mountains. The golf course is constructed to the highest of standards distinguished by the superb quality of the putting surfaces.​ Smyth laid out each hole using the natural contours of the land where possible and incorporated an abundance of bunkers and water hazards which feature on 11 holes. Symth himself puts forward the 6th as one of the signature holes at Ballykisteen "probably the most difficult in the country; 230 yards from the back elevated tee to a green surrounded by water on three sides and out of bounds on the left, nothing but a perfect golf shot will do".

Roscrea Golf Club
Roscrea Golf Club is a parkland course set beneath the Slieve Bloom Mountains in the geographical centre of Ireland. Founded in 1892 and established at its present Derryvale site since 1911, the club expanded from nine to 18 holes after acquiring additional land; eleven new holes, designed by Dr Arthur Spring with sand-based greens, were completed for the club centenary in 1992. The course is described on the club website as scenic with a mix of interesting and testing holes and well-regarded greens. Notable holes include a par-3 that requires a shot over water and a par-4 whose fairway is guarded by out-of-bounds on the left and trees on the right. On-course practice and clubhouse amenities are provided, including a practice putting green, changing rooms and bar and restaurant facilities. Roscrea runs open competitions for men and ladies on Wednesdays from March to October; visitors are invited to book via the club’s online booking system or by telephone and a visitor fee is noted on the site. The course has direct access from the M7 motorway and the club lists approximate drive times from major cities, making it straightforward to reach for visiting players.
