Up until 1971 all nine holes in Sutton were located on the clubhouse side of the railway line. New members and visitors shake their heads when they hear this. They are usually told a story that has become embedded in Sutton history. Legend has it that when someone shouted “fore” everyone on the course ducked! The club had spent some time negotiating with Dublin City Council for a large plot of reclaimed land, that had been a dump previously. Eventually the club received a lease and the three new holes that were developed opened in 1971. They have been developed over subsequent years to become three excellent and challenging holes. As might be expected this allowed development of 6 basically new holes on the original footprint of the club. The challenge has remained the same for golfers down through the years. Accuracy is all important - which is why Sutton continues to develop many fine golfers.

Situated in the foothills of the Dublin mountains, just 15 minutes from the city centre and with access to all major routes, Grange Golf Club, a James Braid course and home to Paul McGinley, Ryder Cup Captain, was voted as the best parkland course in Dublin (Golf Digest, 2008). Visitors can look forward to playing a mature woodland course with beautiful views and without any sense of being close to the city or suburbs. Grange adjoins Marlay Park and is beside St. Enda’s Park, which provide wonderful natural boundaries.

​Nestled in the great Johnstown Kennedy Estate, Beech Park took its name from the centuries old beech trees that line its fairways. Designed by the great Eddie Hackett, the natural landscape of the estate and the remnants of the old estate, such as stone walls and old French drains, combine to make Beech Park unique and creates a beautiful walk around the course.

he Island Golf Club, founded in 1890, is a traditional private Members’ golf club with a proud history of upholding the best traditions of amateur golf. ​ Overlooked by the North County Dublin village of Malahide, the links is located in some of the most stunning dunes on the east coast of Ireland. It is also the sixth oldest golf club in Ireland and was ranked 10th in Irish Golfer’s Top 100 Courses in 2024. It enjoys a growing international reputation and currently hosts Regional Qualifying for The Open Championship and has hosted strokeplay qualifying for the British Amateur Championship in 2019. Rush Golf Club, located in the picturesque seaside town of Rush in County Dublin, may be a 9-hole links course, but it offers the full 18-hole experience due to its unique tee box placements at varying angles. This design intricately adds to its difficulty, ensuring both challenge and interest for players. Rush Golf club was voted best 9 hold course in Leinster in 2023.

Welcome to Hollywood Lakes Golf Club, Leinster's hidden gem 2022 as awarded by the Golfer Guide to Ireland .A course that is both challenging and enjoyable to all levels of golfer. Founded in 1991 and designed by Mel Flanagan, Hollywood Lakes is a 6,707 m Par-72 with a standard scratch of 72 off the back tees. The sand based greens are durable and playable year round. The mature woodland and natural lakes, as the name suggests, provide the course with its unique character and wonderful landscape and stunning views of Dublin city and Lambay island. The Academy style practice grounds include three chipping greens, driving nets, putting green and driving range with ball dispenser to help hone your game before your round and Professional Darragh Tighe is available for advice and tuition. With improvements commencing shortly on the clubhouse and proshop, we envision facilities on a par to the standard of the course. It gives us great pleasure to welcome new members, visitors and groups to our wonderful club.

Designed by the legendary pairing of Mr. Pat Ruddy and Mr. Tom Craddock, the 18-hole championship golf course is presented in pristine condition all year long. The course boasts beautifully tree lined fairways, perfectly manicured greens and wonderful water features which meander throughout the course, offering golfers of all levels a most enjoyable golfing experience.
