The seeds of Mountrath Golf Club were sewn when fifteen people – mainly Doctors, Priests, Bankers and Businessmen met on October 23rd, 1929 in the old cinema hall in Mountrath. From this group a Committee was set up to form the club and organize playing facilities; and so Mountrath Golf Club took shape. The trustees of the Club approached James Conroy, Forest, Mountrath and rented part of his 520 acre estate. On 31st October 1929. 65 acres were rented for one year for a payment of £35. An old two-storey house on the land was to be used as the Clubhouse.

Shannon Golf Club was established in 1966 and today operates an 18‑hole layout measuring 6,763 yards. The course was designed by John D. Harris and, according to the club, has matured into a noted inland course in Munster and Ireland. The clubhouse and facilities sit at Shannon Airport, with the club advising it is roughly five minutes from the airport, which makes it convenient for visiting golfers.
Visitors are welcome and tee times can be booked online or at the clubhouse. The club publishes visitor green fees (for example, weekend and bank‑holiday rounds are listed at €120 and weekday rounds at €100, with reduced fees for Golf Ireland members). Practice facilities are available for driving, chipping and putting, and the club operates a pro shop. Onsite catering is provided through the club restaurant and bar, which also cater for private events and functions.
Membership is offered year‑round, with access to competitive events and club activities. The club publishes booking and fee information on its website and recommends contacting the clubhouse or pro shop for availability, group options and event arrangements.

Founded in 1912, City of Derry Golf Club is a traditional members’ golf club situated on the banks of the River Foyle close to the Historic Walled City of Derry ~ Londonderry. Inaugural UK City of Culture 2013.
Over the years, the Club has matured into one of the Premier Parkland courses in the North West of Ireland.
The Prehen course offers a challenging test of parkland golf for golfers of all standards, with lush green fairways threading their way through mature woodland.
The course offers stunning picture-perfect views of the Foyle valley and hills of Donegal from many vantage points during your round.

Founded in 1993, Crossgar Golf Club is a delightful par 64 course located between Saintfield and Downpatrick. The course itself displays very tight fairways and challenging greens and a good test for any golfer.
