East Cork Golf Club began in 1968 when Eamon and Peg Moloney converted their dairy farm into a nine‑hole layout. The course occupies a parkland site on the outskirts of Midleton, bordered by two rivers, and was designed by Eddie Hackett with construction carried out by local contractor Ned Moran. The original nine holes were officially opened on 10 November 1969 by the late Mr. Brian Lenihan, T.D.; the course was later extended to 18 holes in 1975 and the clubhouse was enlarged in 1992. The club’s scorecard is a par‑69 layout from the blue tees with a total yardage of 5,649 yards, and multiple tee options are provided on the course scorecard. Visitors are welcomed year‑round and green fee rates are published on the club website. A staffed pro shop serves the course and is the point of contact for course status and bookings.
