Courtown Golf Club is a picturesque and challenging golf course located 5 km from the North Wexford town of Gorey only an hour from South Dublin. Founded in 1936 the golf course was upgraded to 18 holes in 1974. It was built on a piece of land that was once part of the old Courtown estate. With it’s panoramic views of the South Irish Sea and the beautiful North Wexford coast it provides a delightful distraction to many a bad round. Courtown is a mature parkland course, par 71 and almost 6000 metres in length. Every fairway is lined to reward the accurate golfer and punish the wayward. The Pro Shop located near the 1st tee box stocks a large variety of the top names in golf and is run by resident I.P.G.A. professionals Paul Morris and James Roche. ​ In addition Courtown is serviced by a comfortable and inviting clubhouse. Cloverhill (Est 1999) is the foremost of golfing experiences. A 5,685 yard,18 hole, par 70 sss 68 is located 8 miles from Dundalk and 10 miles from Newry, in Mullaghbawn, South Armagh. Cloverhill is a “hidden gem” located in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty within the Ring of Gullion which enjoys unspoilt views of one of the most panoramic scenes on any course in Ireland. Monkstown Golf Club occupies a site overlooking Cork Harbour and was established in 1908. The club has undergone phased development in recent years, including significant bunker improvements and upgrades to course and practice facilities. A dedicated Golf Academy and enhanced short-game facilities form part of the club’s investment in coaching and player development. In August 2025 Monkstown hosted the 115th Irish PGA Championship (the Brown & Brown Irish PGA Championship), the first time that event was staged at the venue following those course and practice facility upgrades. The club has also been recognised by Golfers' Guide to Ireland, being named Munster Parkland Course of the Year for 2023 and 2026, with the award presented in August 2025. The clubhouse, which was replaced with a new building in October 2006, includes modern locker rooms, a pro shop, a bar and restaurant, and a TrackMan teaching room with a simulator. The clubhouse facilities are used both by golfers and for functions; the club states it can provide special menus and cater for events such as weddings and communions.

Rathdowney Golf Club is a beautiful parkland golf course set in the south western corner of Co. Laois. Established in 1930 it covers 104 acres of countryside and offers a very pleasant round of golf. In 1997 the course was extended to 18 holes, using the advice of renowned golf course designer Pat Ruddy, and now offers a new challenge to all who play it. In recent years a new clubhouse was opened offering modern facilities and services. Today the course is of a matured state, with challenging holes and fairways. The bar and restaurant (The Willow Tree@Rathdowney Golf Club) are open to the public and cater for all events including societies and open events.
