Rathdowney Golf Club is a beautiful parkland golf course set in the south western corner of Co. Laois. Established in 1930 it covers 104 acres of countryside and offers a very pleasant round of golf. In 1997 the course was extended to 18 holes, using the advice of renowned golf course designer Pat Ruddy, and now offers a new challenge to all who play it. In recent years a new clubhouse was opened offering modern facilities and services. Today the course is of a matured state, with challenging holes and fairways. The bar and restaurant (The Willow Tree@Rathdowney Golf Club) are open to the public and cater for all events including societies and open events. The club offers fantastic facilities with a modern clubhouse bar which opened in 2008, coffee shop and restaurant with wonderful views of the Atlantic ocean and the course. We have a very well stocked Proshop which carries a wide range of clothing from Ping, Daily Sport, Footjoy, Oscar Jacobson and Abacus. We also rent golf clubs, golf carts, electric trolleys and pull trolleys, there is a big putting area at the front of the club with a practice range and chipping area to the rear, practice ball are available in the proshop. We also have large shower and locker areas, for both the men and ladies.

A beautiful Parkland course bordering on Lurgan Lake, just 2 miles from Lurgan junction of M1 motorway. Established in 1893, Lurgan has matured into a challenging parkland course. A well wooded course of medium difficulty with plenty of dog legs. It is well suited to long hitters but is still enjoyable for the average golfer. Many improvements have taken place to enhance the course and the clubhouse. Most recently the new Golf Academy has been appointed as a GUI Regional Development Centre which will further add to the undoubted attraction of Lurgan Golf Club.
