he Island Golf Club, founded in 1890, is a traditional private Members’ golf club with a proud history of upholding the best traditions of amateur golf. ​ Overlooked by the North County Dublin village of Malahide, the links is located in some of the most stunning dunes on the east coast of Ireland. It is also the sixth oldest golf club in Ireland and was ranked 10th in Irish Golfer’s Top 100 Courses in 2024. It enjoys a growing international reputation and currently hosts Regional Qualifying for The Open Championship and has hosted strokeplay qualifying for the British Amateur Championship in 2019. The Island Golf Club also hosted The Irish Amateur Open in 2023. The Island Golf Club is delighted to welcome visitors to play this beautiful but challenging links. Welcome to Hollywood Lakes Golf Club, Leinster's hidden gem 2022 as awarded by the Golfer Guide to Ireland .A course that is both challenging and enjoyable to all levels of golfer. Founded in 1991 and designed by Mel Flanagan, Hollywood Lakes is a 6,707 m Par-72 with a standard scratch of 72 off the back tees. The sand based greens are durable and playable year round. The mature woodland and natural lakes, as the name suggests, provide the course with its unique character and wonderful landscape and stunning views of Dublin city and Lambay island. The Academy style practice grounds include three chipping greens, driving nets, putting green and driving range with ball dispenser to help hone your game before your round and Professional Darragh Tighe is available for advice and tuition. With improvements commencing shortly on the clubhouse and proshop, we envision facilities on a par to the standard of the course. It gives us great pleasure to welcome new members, visitors and groups to our wonderful club.

Lisburn Golf Club
Debate surrounds the foundation of Lisburn Golf Club. A Club was inaugurated in the town in 1880 and affiliated to the Golfing Union of Ireland. However, it had a short life going out of existence in 1885/86. The Club under its present constitution was, in fact, founded in 1905. For the next 68 years it occupied a compact nine hole course at Longstone Street in the heart of Lisburn. The present Governor’s Road bisects what was the first fairway on that course. Indeed a few of the majestic lime trees which were such a feature of the course, and which hampered many a shot on the first and ninth holes, are in evidence to this day.
