Waterford Golf Club
Waterford Golf Club was founded in 1912 and is set on a hill at Newrath overlooking the city of Waterford. The 18‑hole parkland course combines two classical designers: the front nine was laid out by Willie Park Jr., and the back nine by James Braid. The club hosted the Irish Senior Men's Amateur Close Championship in 2021. Three sets of tees alter the course length and challenge: the Blue plays 5,636 yards (par 71), the White 5,471 yards (par 71) and the Red 5,104 yards (par 74). The site’s elevated position gives panoramic views across the Suir Valley towards Slievenamon and the Comeragh Mountains. On‑site facilities include practice greens, a golf shop offering trolley and buggy hire, changing rooms with showers, a clubhouse bar and The View restaurant. The club is member‑owned and operated and provides organised competitions and handicap services; competition entry and score procedures are managed through the pro shop and the club’s scoring terminals. Visitor booking and green‑fee information are published on the club website.
