Royal Curragh Golf Club
The Golf course is situated on the Curragh plains, an area of natural grassland and heath, which has existed as an uncultivated plain for over 2,000 years. It is one of Ireland's outstanding and best-known landscapes and is the oldest and most extensive tract of semi-natural grassland in the country, with an ecosystem older than most woodlands and as old as the upper peat of the raised bogs. It is an area of both national and international importance and also of immense archaeological, cultural, environmental and historical significance.

Waterford Golf Club
Waterford Golf Club was founded in 1912 and is set on a hill at Newrath overlooking the city of Waterford. The 18‑hole parkland course combines two classical designers: the front nine was laid out by Willie Park Jr., and the back nine by James Braid. The club hosted the Irish Senior Men's Amateur Close Championship in 2021. Three sets of tees alter the course length and challenge: the Blue plays 5,636 yards (par 71), the White 5,471 yards (par 71) and the Red 5,104 yards (par 74). The site’s elevated position gives panoramic views across the Suir Valley towards Slievenamon and the Comeragh Mountains. On‑site facilities include practice greens, a golf shop offering trolley and buggy hire, changing rooms with showers, a clubhouse bar and The View restaurant. The club is member‑owned and operated and provides organised competitions and handicap services; competition entry and score procedures are managed through the pro shop and the club’s scoring terminals. Visitor booking and green‑fee information are published on the club website. This description is drawn from information published by Waterford Golf Club and is intended to help golfers understand the layout, facilities and practical arrangements before planning a visit.
