Rating: ★★★★☆

A fantastic Course of 2 halves!

by James McNeilly

Ballycastle is a fantastic course. with the first 5 holes a parkland layout it doesn’t really reveal what the course truly becomes until you cross the road where the rest of the course is a links style layout which initially hugs the coastline before returning to the town again. I found the holes by the water simply stunning. the par 3 9th (I think!) up the hill. maybe only 120 yards but I can imagine on somedays you may take a mighty hit in the wind to get it there!!!
